The 360 video editing app for Android, Collect, has added a number of new features in its October 9, 2018 update.
Among the new features is the ability to extract traditional, fixed frame video from 360 video captured on any camera.
The feature, known as overcapture, free capture or reframe, is already available on a number of 360 cameras’ companion apps, including that of the Insta360 One and GoPro Fusion.
Collect’s own overcapture feature allows users to frame horizontal, vertical or square fixed frame video.
Other features in the app include the ability to trim and combine 360 video clips, speed up or slow down videos, and add music, filters and stickers. The app also allows users to fix the horizon or modify the point of view (for example, to export 360 video as a little planet).
Users can also share directly to social media from within the Collect app.
