In a quiet update to the platform, YouTube has finally fixed 5.7K and even 8K 360 video playback.
Although the ability to upload resolutions beyond 4K has been available on YouTube for quite some time, playback has been pixelated, sputtered and stalled.
First spotted by 360 Rumors blogger Mic Ty, the update has significantly smoothed out the playback quality of 360 videos at higher resolutions.
