Yesterday, 360 camera manufacturer Insta360 launched the Insta360 Awards.

The program aims to “reward and promote the best 360 content from around the world, so long as it’s captured on an Insta360 camera, including the Insta360 Air, Nano, Pro and ONE. There’s also a minimum image resolutionThe number of pixels in an image, typically presented as a ratio of the total pixels on x axis to the total pixels on th... More of 3K.

The program accepts submissions of 360 photos and videos–and edited 360 photos and videos converted to fixed frame utilizing free capture, bullet time, etc.–on any theme “from epic aerial videography, to adrenaline-fueled adventure sports, to simple human moments.”

The Insta360 Awards program has two tiers, including Pioneer Awards, which are rewarded on an unlimited rolling basis. Winners of Pioneer awards will receive $150 per video and $100 per photo. Recipients of the quarterly Legend Award for “exceptional artistry or subject matter” will receive $2000 and the opportunity to partner with Insta360 at events and workhops.

All winners will have their work promoted with attribution to Insta360’s audience.

“360-degree photos and videos are new forms of storytelling, and they’re being defined today by the creators who pick up a camera and start sharing,” said JK Liu, Insta360 founder and CEO. “With Insta360 Awards, we’re excited to reward the creators who inspire us, and to promote their work to show the world what 360 is all about.”

Full details on the program are available on the official Insta360 Awards page.
