Beta access to Mistika VR stitching software is officially open!
Mistika VR, announced at NAB 2017, is currently available for download for free with the code GOPLAYVR17 for a 30-day license. After beta has closed, Mistika VR will be available online for €49 per month.
The stitching software can easily sync and stitch footage from a variety of commonly used 360 cameras based on camera position information. It has presets for GoPro, Jaunt, Kodak PixPro, Nokia Ozo and Samsung Gear cameras, among others, and uses SGO’s optical flow technology.
SGO is also creating custom presets for teams building their own rigs.
In addition to stitching and syncing, Mistika VR allows users to fix horizons, realign stitch linesThe seams in a 360° video where footage from one camera has been combined with another., match colors and utilize optical flow stitching for persistent imperfections.
Users can save stitched video from the standalone stitching to continue editing in other programs, including SGO’s Mistika Ultima. Mistika Ultima offers a real time non-destructive work flow in 2D and 3D, including editing, VFX, color grading, text, paint, audio, S3D, full finishing and more.
Mistika VR runs on Mac, Windows and Linux and supports raw format files.
