PILOT, NAB’s technology innovation initiative (and Knight Foundation grantee), is accepting submissions for its third annual PILOT Innovation Challenge.
The initiative aims to fund ideas that leverage technology to enhance content production, distribution and display. This year, $120,000 worth of prize money is available for the six top entries, with one prize winning $30,000, one at $25,000, one at $20,000, and three prizes for $15,000.

Submissions must answer this year’s challenge question: What is an innovative way broadcasters and other local media could serve communities? The ideas will be judged by a panel of experts based on originality, desirability, and plan of execution. Semifinalists will be announced in November, and the six winning ideas will present at NAB Futures in Seattle on January 27, 2019.
