Last week at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, two VR180 cameras in partnership with Google were announced: the Lenovo Mirage and the YI Horizon. Kandao also took the opportunity to share more about its own VR180-capable camera, the QooCam.
But, when it comes to professional-level VR180 content creation, the only option currently available(for preorder) is Z Cam’s K1 Pro. However, in his blog post about the influx of new VR180 cameras, Google’s Clay Bavor mentioned that Panasonic is currently “building VR180 support for their just-announced GH5 cameras with a new add-on.” But, that’s literally all we know at this time.
Bavor also mentioned that a VR180 camera from LG will be coming later this year. The Lenovo Mirage and YI Horizon are expected to ship in Q2 of this year.
