BuzzFeed and NowThis have partnered with Samsung in a joint effort to create 360-degree content using the Samsung Gear 360. Content will range from how-to videos to breaking news from around the world.

According to BuzzFeed head of development Matthew Henick, using the Samsung Gear 360 will enable BuzzFeed to “use its ‘test and learn’ strategy to unlock new kinds of shareable content, while learning more about how audiences are consuming and using it.”

This new partnership is just one of many newsrooms that have relied on Samsung Gear 360 cameras for a simple and affordable 360 workflow, including the New York Times and Euronews, among others.

If you’re also using the Samsung Gear 360 to create content, our columnist Alex Pearce has a great tutorial on stitching footage from the camera with Autopano Video Pro.
